What is Visual Pinball X?
Visual Pinball X (VPX) is a pinball simulator for Windows. It runs digitally recreated tables, with physics, screens, and toys. Ballzy builds on VPX: you do not have to set it up yourself.
What is Ballzy?
Ballzy is a Windows app and website that distribute packaged VPX tables, launch the game, and add online multiplayer with leaderboards. The site is the catalog; the app installs and plays.
Is it free?
Yes. The Ballzy app and the table catalog on the platform are free to download.
Which systems are supported?
The play app is built for Windows. The website (catalog, leaderboards, account) works in a browser on any device.
How do I install a table?
Install Ballzy, sign in, then pick a table in the app. The package is downloaded, verified, and installed automatically. The website is for discovery; the app does the install.
Solo or online?
Both. Solo is at your own pace, with scores and achievements. Online matches pit several players on the same table, with a ranking at the end.
Why create an account?
The account ties your devices, scores, and achievements together. Without an account you cannot register a PC or submit results to leaderboards.
Why link a device?
Each Ballzy install on a PC must be registered. That authorizes table downloads and score submissions from that machine, within your account’s device limit.
Where do website scores come from?
From games played in the Ballzy app, once the device is linked. The site shows leaderboards; it does not run VPX in the browser.
